Manchester - Former Liverpool player Jamie Redknapp assesses Manchester United a big loss when Henrikh Mkhitaryan sidelined earlier this season. He even believes the Red Devils should have seven points more if Mkhitaryan not absent.

MU buy Mkhitaryan from Borrusia Dortmund in the last transfer window. Initially, players from Armenia are rarely given the opportunity to play. He had finished the starter when the Manchester derby. However, it was only last 45 minutes.

After the derby, Mkhitaryan did not play long enough. At that time, manager Jose Mourinho said that the 27-year-old still needs time to adjust to the Premier League.

Surprisingly, Mkhitaryan also never on the list of reserve players. Mkhitaryan finally got a chance to play in the last few games and he performed quite well.

"I do not believe the argument that Mkhitaryan need time to adjust to the Premier League," said Redknapp told the Daily Mail.

"If he started the competition more quickly, I'm sure Manchester United will have six or seven more points."

Similar Coutinho

"She's like Philippe Coutinho or Mesut Ozil about his ability to unlock defenses and send feedback that other players can not do."

"He shone in the Bundesliga, so why he was not even in the bench for so long?" Redknapp added.

Mkhitaryan has defended Manchester United in 12 matches this season. He has also scored two goals.
